“You gave me that tract.”
God’s word says in Isaiah 55:11, “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
The distribution of gospel tracts is a great evangelistic tool that God has greatly blessed for many years throughout the world. Shortly after he led me to the Lord, Pastor Murphrey encouraged me to be a witness for Christ not only verbally but by handing out gospel tracts as well. My mom would hand out Chick Publication Tracts, a tradition I seem to have inherited from her. Debbie and I keep a copious supply of tracts on hand in various languages. Chick tracts, Bridge tracts, and God’s Simple Plan of Salvation are among our favorites. If you think about it, God has brought the “Mission Field” to your own country. While in America we hand out, along with English tracts, Spanish, French, Chinese, Arabic, and Hindi (East Indian) tracts.
In Benin, anyone that gets mail gets it from a post office box. We would go to the post office about once a week to see if we had any mail. Of course, at the post office, as anywhere we went, we would hand out gospel tracts. One day I went to the post office to check our mail. All around the post office you have a multitude of vendors: jewelry vendors, belt vendors, clothes vendors, shoe vendors, etc. On this particular day, a sunglass vendor approached me. I pointed to the sunglasses on my nose and said, “I’m all set.” He replied, “I want to show you something.” He held up a small, cracked glass mirror that was glued to a small corresponding piece of wood. The mirror, of course, was to show you how nice the sunglasses you were about to buy from him look. He then turned the mirror over and taped to the back side of the mirror was a gospel tract. It was God’s Simple Plan of Salvation, in French. I said, “That’s a great tract, have you read it?” He replied, “Yes, I have read it, and I asked Jesus to save me. As a matter of fact, you gave me this tract a couple of weeks ago.” Wow! Tract distribution is a great way to get the gospel out.
If you want to get involved in this exciting type of ministry, call one of the phone numbers below and order your tracts today. Maybe you’ll want to hand one out while you’re standing in line at the post office next time you are there.
